Of interest are two New York Senate Bills recently introduced: (1) Senate Bill S5549: Prohibits exemptions for owners of vacant or unoccupied storefront properties, and (2) Senate Bill S2007: Expands the residential-commercial exemption program to include any municipality regardless of the population of the county in which it is located.
